Dear Friend of 350 Sacramento,
We live in extraordinary times! This isn't the time to wring our hands or stay on the sidelines. Our very future depends on what we do today. Six years ago a small group of folks started 350 Sacramento. As an all-volunteer organization we've done our best, but now we have to scale up...BIG TIME.
That's where you come in. Your end-of-year donation will help us grow from an all-volunteer group that works out of homes and coffeeshops to a more effective organization with an office and small staff.
Thanks to the generosity of a few donors, we now have a $1,500 matching grant, so your money will go even further by being matched dollar for dollar. Please donate today and be as generous as you possibly can be.
I know you are getting fundraising appeals every day. Why should you give to 350 Sacramento?
We're local—for the next few years we expect little progress on climate change at the national level. Local is where it's at!
We're trustworthy—we've been at this for 6 years, we're not going away, and you can trust us to use your money wisely.
We're passionate—you know that we're driven; that's not going to go away either. And our work teams are making progress in practical areas, such as stopping oil trains and transitioning away from fossil fuels.
We're fun—the issue is dire, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy ourselves as we work to build this movement, whether it's a Cold Beer for a Hot Planet fundraiser, Ode to Earth performances, happy hour gatherings, or simply hugs all around.
Your donation will make a huge difference. Or if you prefer to send a check, please make it out to 350 Sacramento and mail to PO Box 161677, Sacramento, CA 95816. Since we're a 501(c)3 nonprofit, all donations are fully tax deductible.
With hope for the future,
Chair, 350 Sacramento
