350 Sacramento has always been about solutions. Look through the calendar below and you’ll see our upcoming Town Hall (to accelerate Sacramento’s transition to carbon zero), the 350 Sac Legislative Team (working to pass the best climate laws), Transition Streets (where neighbors help one another reduce their carbon footprints), Transit 101 (to improve our local transit system), and much much more.
There are also times we take to the streets to demonstrate our passion and power. Come out for two critical marches in April: Sacramento March for Science (Apr 22) and People’s Climate March (Apr 29).
Lastly, we try to make this work fun. Enjoy yourself at Green Drinks, Ode to Earth II, 350 Placer’s Hot Climate/Cold Beer Trivia Night, Earth Day, even tabling on Sundays at the Farmers Market. Whatever you do is important…just do it!
Feeling a little intimidated by all the activities and choices? Join us at the 350 Sacramento General Meeting on Thursday, March 9, to meet others and find your niche. There will be short presentations by the 350 Sac Legislative Team, Sacramento March for Science, and Plant for the Planet, among other topics. 6 pm @909 12th St. All are welcome.
We are excited and delighted to announce that 350 Sacramento is moving into our own office, where we can meet, work, hold office hours, and even have a phone number!! Better yet, we’re joining some of our favorite nonprofits at the Breathe Bldg, 909 12th St. MANY many thanks to all who donated to help make this happen. Watch for information about our upcoming BIG CELEBRATION PARTY.
But before we can party, we need to furnish our new office. We are looking for: a couple of couches and comfortable chairs, conference/large table, office chairs, stacking chairs, desk/table, late-model computer(s), printer, big white board, office supplies, and other office items in good condition. Also, if you have a truck or can help move furniture please contact us. Finally, we are seeking a congenial nonprofitto sublet one of the two offices in the suite.
